Beginning with work №00101, I chose a clear, welcoming language for my painting — Optimistic Cubism. Vivid colour, contrast, recognisable forms. I want people to enjoy living with a painting: to find pleasure in it not only at first sight, but every day on their wall.
In “In the Heat of the Day”, turquoise giraffes stand among the yellow and orange planes of the savannah. Heat becomes colour; long necks and legs become rhythm. There is pleasure in the painting itself: in the way contrasting colours intensify one another, and separate facets come together to form a living creature.
But my joy in nature is inseparable from my concern for it.
I do not want to paint only what we might lose. I want to paint what brings us joy — and what is therefore worth protecting.
A painting does not have to frighten us to speak about protecting life. I prefer another approach: bringing us closer to a world that can seem distant in our everyday lives. Giraffes on a wall become part of a home. Real animals need a home too — one that no image can replace.
The ARK Project grows from this same feeling: the desire not to confine nature to my canvases, but to take part in protecting and restoring natural habitats.
I am looking for a patron who shares both intentions: to create paintings that bring joy, and to undertake practical work for the living world.
For me, these are not two separate pursuits. They are one way of caring about life.

STRATEGIC STATUS & CONVERGENCE PROTOCOL (2026)
• The Commitment: This work forms part of the ARK patronage pool supporting the planned protection and restoration of natural territories in the Southern Cone. Under the project protocol, 100% of acquisition proceeds is routed through the 30/40/30 allocation structure.
• Capital Allocation: 30% — reimbursement of documented studio costs, with no dividend; 40% — restricted ground CapEx; 30% — project operations. The closed 40% CapEx list covers cadastral land and topsoil, perimeter fencing, restoration machinery (including tractors), and hydrological biomes, subject to the Patron's contractual Right of Veto. Clothing, medical and community expenditure falls outside this restricted allocation.
• Governance Shield: The protocol provides for acquired land to remain on the balance sheet of the independent, non-commercial Foundation (Fundación), not with the artwork's buyer. The country, legal vehicle and first cadastral parcel must be named in the Art Loan documentation before any drawdown.
• Verification Path: Closed Verification is available equally to full-tier DIS patrons and signed 12-month Art Loan counterparties. Quarterly Field Files comprise georeferenced satellite perimeters, dated CapEx invoices and biome photographs. Site perimeters remain closed to the public.
